Full Legalization Process

The document authentication process ensures full compliance with legal standards. It includes notarization, certification at the county and state levels, and final validation by the U.S. Department of State. Documents for non-Hague Convention countries will also require embassy certifications.

Visa Office fees

• $200 (plus expenses) – apostille for Hague Convention countries

• $250 (plus expenses) – authentication for other countries

Timeline

The county- and state-level processing is typically completed quickly. However, US Department of State and embassy certification processing may take anywhere from two to 12 weeks.
