US Passport Processing Service

• Renew your passport when the validity is less than six (6) months and/or has less than two (2) blank visa pages.

• Traveling to multiple countries back-to-back requires two (2) blank visa pages per country. Half pages are not valid.

First-time Passport Applicant

First-time passport applicants are advised to:

1. Make an appointment at the local library/post office. Click here for closest one.

2. Fill out Form DS-11 online and print but DO NOT SIGN APPLICATION. Must be signed at the library/Post Office.

3. Take the following documents to your appointment:

   1. Original birth certificate or naturalization papers.

   2. One (1) passport photo that is 2” x 2” with a white background, no glasses and no smiling. Click here for guidelines.

   3. Money order or check for $190.00 (for expedited service) made payable to the US State Department. (Visa Office will provide if work in the building.)

   4. Money order or check for $35.00 to the library/Post Office/Passport Center for its service fee.

   5. For expedited processing, need an itinerary showing upcoming travel (within two weeks).

   6. Signed authorization letter from GC Visa Office, signed and dated. (on website)

4. These documents will be placed in a sealed envelope that must then be returned to the Visa Office. The Visa Office will take this sealed packet directly to the US State Department.

5. Your new passport will be mailed directly to the address placed in the application in approximately seven to 10 days.

Passport Renewal

To renew your passport:

1. Click here to fill out Form DS-82 for our expedited renewal. Print application single-sided and sign.

2. Bring the application and the following documents to the Visa Office:

   1. Current passport

   2. Form DS-82-filled out and signed

   3. One (1) passport photo that is 2” x 2” with a white background, no glasses and no smiling Click here for guidelines.

   4. Money order or check for $190.00 (for expedited service) made payable to the US State Department

   5. Flight itinerary showing travel coming up in next two weeks.

   6. Authorization letter from GC Visa Office, signed and dated (on website).

3. Your new passport will be mailed directly to the address placed in the application in approximately seven to 10 days.

Second US Passport

Provide the following to request a second passport:

1. Current passport

2. Form DS-82 application filled out and signed.

3. One (1) passport photo that is 2” x 2” with a white background, no glasses and no smiling Click here for guidelines.

4. Money order or check for $190.00 (for expedited service) made payable to the US State Department. (Visa Office will provide if work in the building.)

5. Flight itinerary showing upcoming travel in next two weeks.

6. Authorization from GC Visa Office, signed and dated.

7. A letter justifying the need for a second passport. Ask Visa Office for the sample letter to create on your office letterhead Print and sign.
